In every episode of the Misfit Entrepreneur, we get amazing wisdom, success tips, lifehacks, and strategies for how to perform at our highest levels.  But, my favorite part of the episode is when each Misfit Entrepreneur gives us their Misfit 3.

The Misfit 3 are their 3 most important pieces of advice that each guest wants you to take away above all else.  If you have not gone through the episode archives and checked them out, you should make it part of your weekly personal growth routine in 2019,

To help you, I have gone through all of 2018's Misfit 3 from each guest and come up with my Top 25 for you.  Feel free to print the list to refer back to help you succeed in 2019!

The Misfit Entrepreneur "Misfit 3" Top 25
  1. Distinguish between urgent work and important work.  Do the item that are urgent and important first, always.
  2. The most important skill you need to succeed in anything is building the positive relationship to suffering.  If you can suffer well, you can handle anything that life throws at you.
  3. Figure you how to work fun into the equation. You hear you should enjoy the journey, but many don’t take the time to enjoy it.  Do it!  Don’t live for a day in the future that may never arrive.
  4. Take in the information you can around you, but make it your own. Nothing is new – it is just re-invented with a different perspective.  Own it and find that for you.
  5. Know the source of your talent.  We were created for something more, so understanding our creator and source of our talent is critical.
  6. Have the humility to teach your talent or gift to other people.  Power doesn’t come from keeping the deepest things we’ve learned inside us.  It comes from teaching them to others.
  7. Always choose adventure – it will work out.
  8. Read a book every week.  You must be on the hunt to acquire new information.  Setup Google alerts for your industry.
  9. Fire the vampires.  Get rid of all the negative detractors in your life and business.  Remove those people.
  10. Don’t hold onto regret.  It is a complete miracle that you are alive at this moment.  Embrace it and live your life to the fullest and be the best you can be in in the world.
  11. Read something written before “Gutenberg” every day.  99% of the information coming at you is irrelevant. Reading something before “Gutenberg” (ie. Before the printing press.  This means that text had to be laboriously hand copied and re-written – which means it was considered very valuable and precious).
  12. Patience: If you build something of quality and operate from a set of core values that are principled – you will find a way to succeed.  Patience will allow you to stay with it until the results come.
  13. At some point you know enough.  You need to stop consuming information and start producing results.  Don’t get stuck in learning mode.
  14. Listen to your advisers, investors, mentors, etc. but make sure you are keeping your own independent thought.  Keep your head when all men doubt you, but make allowance for their doubting too. (from IF by Rudyard Kipling)
  15. Be honest about who you are and who you want to be.  Don’t start with why.  Start with who you are.
  16. Take care of yourself so you can really help others.  Live selfishly in order to be self-less.
  17. No one can take away your character.  Every victory or failure you have builds this in you. All the choices you make define you and your character.
  18. Do something scary every day.  List your 10 top fears and start with your easiest one.
  19. Leadership starts with self-discipline.  Work on yourself first.  Lead from the front and then set high expectations.
  20. Listen to the voice that comes in your head and look for doubt.  This is where you find where you may have limiting beliefs.
  21. Don’t suffer from failure to launch syndrome.  Get a minimum viable product, get it out there, get feedback and go from there.
  22. There are 3 currencies:  Money, Time, and Sanity.  Which ones are you willing to sacrifice for the others?
  23. The most legendary people have the most courage.  Tap into yours.
  24. Love without limits.  Leave the taboos behind.
  25. We are heroes in some way, if not every day, probably every week.  Have faith in people.  Have faith in the goodness of the human spirit and understand that while there will be failings of it and bad things will happen – there is a lot more good in this world than there is bad.

Information have always been important to everything. Everyone must take look on the data in order to produce another data. I was really impressed by how people invent because of the data gatherings they have made and come up. If you observe the economy, those successful ones have gathered a lot of data that they can use in order to live in a better future. Everything around us is like an equation. We are the only ones who can solve our own paths.
