Special Episode with Dave Lukas435: The Top 5 Lessons from 2024 and How to Win Big in 2025
Welcome to another year end edition of the Misfit Entrepreneur! This year, I am going to do something a little different. I’ve just returned from spending almost a month overseas and competing in New Zealand in the Ironman World Championships. I promised my family that I would take that time with them and just unplug. That meant no podcasts or anything during that time and I stuck to it. It was an amazing trip and such a wonderful experience. For all my Kiwi listeners, your country is truly incredible. I hope everyone watching and listening gets a chance to visit it someday. I started out saying that this end of year episode is going to be a little different. Where usually, I do a recap of all the episodes throughout the year and share wisdom from them, instead, I am going to share my Top 5 lessons I am taking away from 2024 and my best advice going into 2025. I had a lot of time to think on these things while I traveled and thought it would be great to share them with you. Click Here to See the Full Show Notes and Misfit 3 for This Episode |

Special Episode with Dave Lukas431: The Biblical Story of Joseph, 10 Powerful Lessons for Entrepreneurial Growth
This is another special episode and I got the idea of it from a recent service at our church, Worthington Christian Church here in Ohio. Now before you turn this off or stop watching, I am not going to be teaching a sermon to you and pushing the Bible down your throat, but as I listened to this message which was about the 10 Principles learned from the Story of Joseph in Genesis, I could not help but think about how much the 10 principles not only are useful in life, but incredibly important for success in entrepreneurship. In fact, the message was so good that I am actually going to play pastor Austin Seevers delivering it here in a minute, but first I was to set the stage a little. If you don’t know the story of Joseph from Genesis. Joseph was one of 12 brothers, whose father was Jacob. Now, Jacob was no ordinary person. He was the grandson of Abraham, to whom God first promised that his descendants would become a great nation, inherit the land of Canaan, and be a blessing to all nations. He was kind of a big deal. And Joseph was his favorite son of the 12. In fact, he was favored so much that his brothers jealously caused them to first try to kill him, but later sell him into slavery. And then sold again to the Pharoah in Egypt with whom he ended up gaining favor and rising to be the 2nd most powerful person in Egypt only to meet his brothers again years later in a time of need. It is through this story the 10 lessons are explained, so I am going to let Austin go through the detail and lessons for you and then below I share how they relate to running a business and being an entrepreneur. Dave Lukas - Lessons for Hannah430: Lessons For Hannah - Jordan Peterson's Six Principles for a Meaningful Life
Hello Misfit Nation! Welcome to another edition of "Lessons for Hannah!" Many years ago, I introduced a new format that alongside our regular episodes called “Lessons for Hannah.” Hannah is my daughter and one of the main inspirations for the Misfit Entrepreneur. I wanted to have a place where she could go and learn from her daddy and his Misfit friends throughout her life….even after I am gone. If you haven’t listened to the first episode of "Lessons for Hannah," I urge you to as it gives some more background and tells the amazing story of how Hannah came to be in our lives. Lessons for Hannah are short, very useful, and sometimes comical lessons, that I want to share with you and give to Hannah to help in your lives. Because I want Hannah to have these for her life, I’m going to speak as though I am talking directly to her. These episodes are a lot of fun and if you think there is a lesson that we should include in these episodes, please don’t hesitate to send it over to us at [email protected]. We’d love to share it.
