Dave Lukas Chats with Deepak Ohri339: Your Bridge is Not Too Far, How Deepak Ohri Changed the Hospitality Industry and Create the Life of His Dreams
This week’s Misfit Entrepreneur is Deepak Ohri. Deepak grew up in a modest, a one-room flat in a lower middle-class area of New Delhi. Most would not have thought that he would grow up to be one of the most successful innovators in the luxury hotel industry founding Lebua Hotels and Resorts, creating Luxury Atelier Maison Happiness and the president of the World Foundation of Happiness. Along his journey, he has been recognized as the Top 100 Most Powerful People in global hospitality, been sought after for his thought leadership by everyone from Bloomberg to CNBC and Forbes as well as regularly being a featured speaker at Harvard Business School, MIT, and Columbia to name a few. But through it all, he never forgot his humble roots and recently penned the best-selling book, A Bridge Not too Far, Where Creativity Meets Innovation, which shares his best principles and lessons for success and wisdom he has learned on his journey. www.DeepakOhri.com Show NotesDeepak did not know where he would end up. After 800 episodes of his top-rated business podcast Build Your Network, Travis Chappell learned that networking is really the same thing as just making friends with people. In this newly rebranded show, Travis Makes Friends, it’s Travis’ goal to simply give listeners like you a chance to get to know world class performers who can help you become a better version of yourself. There's an episode for everyone no matter what you're into. Travis talks with some incredible people. He talked with Shaquille O'Neal about that one message he would want the whole world to see. He spoke with Tom Bilyeu about his journey to building and exiting a billion dollar company. You'll always find something unique and useful that you can apply to your own life, like learning negotiating techniques from an FBI hostage negotiator or investing tips from billionaire investors. Travis is an experienced host who has been doing this for over five years, and I think you'll enjoy this new version of his show. Simply open your podcast app that you're listening to and search for Travis Makes Friends, give him a follow, and check out a few episodes.
