I want to talk about something that I’ve mentioned a number of times on the show, but most people overlook—and that’s sitting down to ask themselves, “What do I truly want?” I’ve had more people reaching out asking me for my thoughts on how they better design their life and find true meaning and purpose.  

I think people are starting to realize that too often, we chase results without really knowing our own core values. And if you’re not clear on what you believe in, you’re not going to get what you want.

So, in this episode, we are going to dive deep into how building your very own “personal operating system” can change your life. We’ll look at why knowing your core principles matters, how I built mine, and I’ll give you a simple five-step process to do this for yourself.

The Power of Knowing What You Really Want
  • Most people chase success without defining what it means for them.
  • Without a clear personal framework, you let external forces—society, trends, and opinions—dictate your life.
  • Success starts with asking: “What do I really want? What am I willing to stand for?”

The 5-Step Process to Build Your Personal Operating System
  • Step 1: Identify Your Core Values – List 5-10 non-negotiable values in your life. Challenge them. Make sure they’re truly yours, not just what others have placed on you.
  • Step 2: Define What They Mean to You – Write down exactly what each value looks like in real life. What does “integrity” or “grit” actually mean in daily actions?
  • Step 3: Create Reinforcement Habits – Turn values into actions. Example: A nightly 1% improvement journal to track growth.
  • Step 4: Set Up a Reflection Routine – Spend 15-30 minutes weekly asking: Did I live by my values? Where can I improve?
  • Step 5: Commit & Execute – Make it a personal contract and commit to executing daily.

  • They haven’t taken time to deeply understand themselves.
  • They let outside influences steer them instead of making decisions based on core principles.
  • Without a strong personal operating system, they react instead of leading their own lives.

  • Example: I asked ChatGPT to analyze my system through Tony Robbins’ perspective, which helped me optimize my routines.
  • AI can serve as an accountability tool, offering new insights on refining your daily and weekly processes.

  • My daily integrity check ensures I stay true to myself.
  • My weekly action audit helps me push harder where needed.
  • When business or life gets overwhelming, I have a system in place to make decisions with confidence.
